Beacon Lighting - Platinum Partners of the Western Bulldogs

After originally joining the Bulldogs as a Bronze Partner in 2008, Beacon Lighting has signed up as Platinum Partners of the club for the 2010 premiership season.

With Beacon Lighting having established in Melbourne in 1974, and with the major warehouse located in the western suburbs of Melbourne, partnering with the Western Bulldogs was a great opportunity to further the relationship between two companies, who both have significant interest in the west of Melbourne.

Western Bulldogs Chief Executive, Campbell Rose, expressed his delight with Beacon re-signing as a platinum partner, "Having an industry leader of the calibre of Beacon Lighting, a truly significant national company in the western region of Melbourne, re-commit to our sponsor family further reinforces the strength and power of the Bulldogs brand."

"This arrangement will allow Beacon Lighting, Australia's largest lighting retailer, to continue the promotion and awareness of not only their brand, but the suite of products that are sold through their national retail network, including a wide variety of lighting, fans and solar power systems," Rose said.

The exciting Platinum partnership includes Beacon Lighting branding at Ethiad Stadium - scrolling signage behind the goals for all AFL games at Ethiad Stadium, and Beacon Solar signage on levels 2 and 3 along the wing for all Western Bulldog home games.

As part of our partnership, we have also had the opportunity to have some star Western Bulldogs players visiting our stores. Barry Hall attended the launch of the partnership between Beacon Lighting and the Bulldogs at our South Wharf store in February, and Brad Johnson also recently visited our Hoppers Crossing store for a special one day sale. Both players were a hit with our customers – signing autographs, posing for photos and plenty of chatting in between.

We have more player appearances scheduled before August this year, so keep your eyes peeled to join in the excitement of meeting one of the Bulldogs stars at Beacon Lighting.
