From dilapidated home to ultra-modern castle
May 23, 2017
The battle lines were literally drawn on the ceilings this week, with our teams clashing over the interpretation of the watery colour palette House Rule.
All three judges loved the Scandi-inspired kitchen, with our Husk Pendants in Ash/White over the kitchen island bench adding texture and warmth to the ultra modern design. Wendy loved the master bedroom, and our Calista Tall Pendants in opal/chrome and Fanaway EVO1 Chrome Ceiling Fan upped the cool factor.
Placing lights such as our Aksel Wall Brackets in Black around bathroom mirrors is a clever idea as it eliminates shadows on the face. We loved the form and functionality of our Sentinel Lights Wall Brackets in Black, which were a great contrast to the pale timber wall recess in the bedroom.

While oversized pendants are on-trend, our Sunraysia Pendants in Matte Black/Ash were just too big for the tiny entrance. We loved the clever clustering of our Lanie Wall Brackets in Copper, Black and White and coordinating Lanie Floor Lamp in Black, which added to the glamorous Kim Kardashian inspired bedroom.
While Lawrence loved the style of our Pirouette 8 Light Chandelier in Chrome/Crystal, the soft, shadowy effect it created was not practical in this dressing room.
Lawrence loved the sculptural quality of our Orion 5 Light Pendant in Black/Smoke Glass over the dining table, while our Finn Concrete Pendant in White created a spectacular contrast to the teal tiles in the laundry.
