New York warehouse style comes to the ‘burbs
12 June 2018
Transforming a masculine bachelor pad into a New York inspired home with feminine touches was the House Rule this week. The teams opted for warmer on-trend colours such as pink and green to add feminine flair.
Toad & Mandy’s Dining Room
What they did: With so many other design elements in this open plan space, Toad & Mandy cleverly opted to keep their lighting strikingly simple.
Get the look with minimalist designs such as our Lab bowl pendants which add elegance without dominating the space.
Josh & Brandon’s Kitchen
What they did: This couple chose a cluster of industrial style lighting over the benchtop which served as task lighting and helped zone the space.
Get the look: Winter style is all about creating a cosy retreat and our Harvest pendants bring warmth to Industrial style.
Kim & Michelle’s Beauty Room
What they did: Any grooming space needs flattering lighting, which Kim & Michelle achieved by clustering pendants.
Get the look: Mixing task lighting such as our Hamilton pendants with the ambient light of our Louie LED floor lamp with a 340-degree rotatable head gives you total flexibility.
Chiara & David’s Entry/Master Bedroom
What they did: Following the ‘New York loft’ House Rule, this couple chose elegantly styled industrial pieces and softened the look with subtle pops of colour.
Get the look: The exposed globe in our Fanaway Classic fan with retractable blades captures the New York loft style.
Leigh & Kristie’s Lounge
What they did: Exposed brick and raw timber set the tone for this room, which expressed the latest trend for darker interiors.
Get the look: Combined with the Sentinel up/down wall brackets, our Husk pendants provide a sultry, soft light to instantly warm the space.
