It was the final reveals for The Block 2025, and what a way to end the season! With auction week just around the corner, it all came down to the front façades. Let's see what judges Shaynna Blaze, Darren Palmer, Marty Fox and guest judge Dave Franklin thought of the front yards and façades.

House 1: Emma and Ben

Greenery, greenery and more greenery - and the judges were smiling before they’d even stepped outside. The lush landscaping, timber decking and battened patio ceiling created a natural, inviting welcome that felt perfectly in tune with Daylesford. “It’s stunning,” said Marty, while Darren reminded everyone, “These are garden homes - and a very important part of the Daylesford landscape.”

The Lighting

Emma and Ben delivered a showstopper! Their façade blends striking dark timber with crisp lines and a modern Australian edge that feels right at home in Daylesford. The Sentinel wall light adds that perfect final touch - a warm, welcoming glow that makes the whole exterior come alive at night.

House 2: Han and Can

From their custom Christian Cole front door to carefully layered materials and accessible design, Han and Can’s façade struck a confident balance of craftsmanship and style. The judges praised the warmth and scale of the entry, though opinions were divided on the fencing. Overall, the design earned high marks for detail and cohesion.

The Lighting

Han and Can paired their soft white façade with the MFL Tanimi cube wall light, adding a subtle glow that gives the home a sculptural presence at night. In their entryway, the mix of dark and light cladding with timber decking gives a modern vibe, while the brushed brass handle adds a touch of sculptural warmth. The MFL Tanimi disc wall light highlights textures, perfectly framing the door. It was simple, sophisticated, and stunning.

House 3: Britt and Taz

Britt and Taz’s façade brought a refined take on modern farmhouse style, with white cladding, timber detailing and corrugated roofing creating a mix of charm and structure. While the judges wanted to see more greenery, they appreciated the strong architectural balance and confident execution.

The Lighting

Britt and Taz used a mix of timber and white cladding, and crisp corrugated roofing to deliver a modern farmhouse look that's rustic, refined, and full of depth. Wanaka up/down wall lights highlight the vertical textures, casting a warm glow that makes the home feel both architectural and effortlessly welcoming.

House 4: Sonny and Alicia

A “quintessential Aussie front yard” was the goal, and Sonny and Alicia delivered. With warm red brick, a statement sculpture and layers of greenery, the judges were impressed. Shaynna loved the tactile materials and maple tree by the door, calling the design “romantic and beautiful.”

The Lighting

This façade is pure show-stopping charm! Sonny and Alicia mix warm red brick and clean modern lines to create a welcoming, mid-century-inspired look that feels both grounded and sophisticated. The MFL Tanimi wall lights wash the textured brick in a soft, inviting glow, highlighting the craftsmanship and giving the exterior a breathtaking, ambient warmth.

House 5: Robby and Matt

Defined by deep charcoal cladding and strong architectural lines, Robby and Mat’s façade combined boldness with balance. The judges praised the confidence of the design and the landscaping’s natural flow, with Shaynna describing the sculptural water feature as “beautiful.”

The Lighting

Robbie and Mat's façade captures modern Australian design at its most refined - strong, sculptural, and perfectly in tune with its surroundings. The MFL Tanimi wall lights cast architectural beams across the façade, enhancing its vertical rhythm and highlighting every subtle detail. The result is an effortlessly cohesive design grounded in natural beauty.
