Three Birds Renovations go big with a bold extension
7 November 2018
From ugly duckling to the prettiest house on the street, Beacon Lighting has been super proud to play our part in this incredible transformation from Three Birds Renovations.
Master Bedroom: The perfect bedroom should feel like a relaxing retreat, one that pampers your senses and provides a comfortable sanctuary at the end of the day. Bonnie has kept the palette soft with muted tones and subtle flourishes of colour. Using our Southampton wall sconces in antique black was a master stroke, as they drew the eye to the panelled feature wall and created a warm, inviting glow with their exposed globes.
Master Ensuite: The beauty of having your own ensuite is that you can style it with your own personal touch and in this case, it was a pop of pink diamond tiles. While there was luxurious brass detailing seen in the tapware and our elegant Santiso wall brackets , the addition of a black vanity and darker tiles balanced the femininity in the space.
Walk-in Robe: A clever trick that the Three Birds used to creating flow from the bedroom to an open walk-in robe was to use curtains to hide the cabinetry. This made the small space feel spacious and luxurious. The addition of our solid crystal Hensley pendant was the ultimate glamorous touch.
Guest Bedroom: Three Birds wanted to incorporate fluted glass in their guest bedroom to give it an art-deco vibe and add more vibrancy to the muted palette. While our Corbelle pendant in steel and antique black over the centre of the bed is a bold design, the vertical glass rods retract the light to create a warm, diffused glow.
Nursery: Using layers of different textures, wood accents and natural fibres such as our Byron weaved pendant not only added warmth and depth to a neutral space, it’s also an easy way to bring a touch of sophistication to a gender-neutral nursery and create a visual connection with the rest to the house.
Rear Alfresco: Styling a great alfresco space is all about setting the mood for entertaining. Placing our black Southampton wall sconces against the black exterior not only matched the beautiful bi-fold doors, but when lit they will emit a beautiful glow to carry their guests right through the evening.
Front facade: A bold charcoal and white exterior transformed this property from an ugly duckling to a home bursting with character and street appeal. Installing lighting such as our Southampton wall sconces seen here at the entrance creates a warm and inviting introduction to the home, while also providing great security.
