My Reno Rules 2026: first reveal
The newest lighting looks we're loving from My Reno Rules
My Reno Rules is officially underway! We’ve excited to supply the lighting for its first ever season, and we’re loving seeing these homes come together in real time. Already, there’s a lot to love.
Emma and Michelle: a softer bedroom
In the guest bedroom, Emma and Michelle made a clever call with their lighting.
They used the Traviato pendants in travertine as bedside lighting, hanging them either side of the bed. It keeps the bedside tables clear and gives the room a bit more breathing space.
The travertine adds texture against the softer finishes, so everything doesn’t blend into one.
Franky and Isaac: warm details, but missing impact
Franky and Isaac used Amore small pendants in brass with pleated linen shades as bedside lighting in their guest bedroom, paired with MFL Forge Modern switches in brass.
But the judges didn’t connect with the room. “It really fell flat,” was the call, and you can see why. Everything sat in a similar tone, so nothing really stood out. Which is such a shame - the Amore pendants themselves are a focal point. The pleated linen softens the light nicely, and that brass detail adds just enough warmth. In a space with a bit more contrast around them, they would’ve had a lot more presence.

Mitch and Shaz: layered, confident, and hard to fault
Then Mitch and Shaz came in and changed the tone completely.
In the guest bedroom, the Soleado pendant above the mirror gave the space a clear focal point. It draws your eye straight in and gives the room some structure.
Their living room, though, was on another level.
Neale Whitaker called it “one of the best rooms I’ve ever judged on TV,” and the rest of the judges backed him up.
The Astrid scalloped floor lamp added softer light in the sitting area, the Tamarind pendants handle the overhead lighting without making the room feel closed in, and the Sahara table lamp fills in the darker areas so you’re not relying on one light source.

First impressions
Overall, it’s a great first reveal. We’re loving seeing our lighting, fans, and switches coming through in each space, shaping how these rooms feel, not just how they look.
Let’s hope the next round of reveals is just as strong.
