Lighting is such an important feature in any home. Here are some of our top tips to help you make the most of your lighting plan.
DON'T
DON’T limit your pendants to just the dining room. Think about suspending a pendant in a corner to create a cosy reading nook, or eliminate bedside clutter and hang pendants either side of the bed.
DON’T be afraid to mix your trends. Mix ‘n match industrial, coastal or mid-century style lights in modern spaces for designer look home.
DON’T forget to add dimmers wherever you can.

DO use a mix of task, ambient and accent lighting in every room. In the kitchen, combine downlights with pendants over a workbench, and accent cupboards or an island bench with strip lighting.
DO consider lighting as a design accessory. Choose statement lamps or pendants that make an impact.
DO pay special attention to bathroom lighting. You’ll need to take into consideration tasks such as shaving and applying makeup and ensure your lighting doesn’t create unwanted shadows.
