We're thrilled to be partnering again with Rachel and Ryan — The Block 2022 favourites — for their brand new series, Holiday Home Makeover! Known for their clever designs and relaxed, coastal-inspired style, the pair are back on the tools, transforming everyday spaces into a dream holiday home.
At Beacon Lighting, we're proud to help bring their stunning makeovers to life with carefully selected lighting and fan solutions that capture the essence of easy, elevated holiday living.

Rachel and Ryan know how to make a statement — and the main bedroom is a dreamy blend of calm tones, soft textures, and resort-level comfort. The bedrooms have nods to Mediterranean style - like a permanent vacation.
In the main bedroom, the Cessna DC fan in antique brass and walnut adds sculptural elegance while keeping things cool and quiet. Surrounded by sun-washed tones, natural textures, and soft, layered bedding, the space feels like a resort — calm, breezy, and beautifully curated.
In the ensuite, it’s all about discreet performance. Our City III fixed downlights offer clean, clear illumination that’s perfect for daily rituals — and subtle enough to let the materials do the talking. The pink bathroom brings a completely different energy, layering soft blush tones and pink marble mosaics for a look that's joyful and sophisticated. The Chrysler small ribbed shades in gloss opal glass offer a hint of Art Deco glamour, casting a warm, flattering glow. It's the perfect blend of curated style and relaxed, feminine charm.

In the blue bathroom, the Camilla wall brackets in brushed brass and ribbed opal glass add a beautiful softness against the dramatic terrazzo-style tiles and black stone vanity. There’s no one way to do a bedroom — and this week’s reveals prove it. The pink bedroom mixes earthy Mediterranean tones with terracotta textures and is beautifully grounded by the sculptural Forma table lamp in travertine. In the yellow bedroom-slash-work zone, the Catalina table lamp in crisp white offers that sunny-side-up energy. Paired with bold accents and warm neutrals, it’s a space that feels energised and fresh — just right for both focus and rest.

This week, it’s all about multi-tasking spaces that look anything but utilitarian. In the dining room, three Calido Flare pendants in tan hessian create a soft, sculptural focal point, tying together glass, brass, and warm upholstery for a luxe but lived-in feel. The laundry? Yes, even the laundry gets a design moment — with the Calido Flare shade repeated overhead, proving every space deserves beauty. And in the hallway, our City III downlights and Cassini table lamp add sculptural warmth to a high-traffic zone.

Soft curves, natural materials, and lighting that feels just right — the living space is relaxed and refined in equal measure. Two Fjord squat pendants in clay set the tone in the breakfast nook, while Amore wall lights bring warmth and detail to the lounge. Together, it’s a study in quiet luxury.

First impressions count — and this entrance hits the mark. Inside, the hallway glows with our City III downlights and the rich, sculptural detail of the Cassini lamp. Outside, the Tanimi wall sconce and Seaside spotlights do double duty: bringing texture by day and ambient glow by night. It’s layered, tonal and inviting — just like the rest of the home.
