Dream Home 2024 Week Four Reveals
All the latest lighting looks from Dream Home 2024
A classic summer storm has everyone hustling to wrap up the final touches on the Queensland home renovations, but these teams are pros by now. Despite the weather, they’re moving mountains to create stunning, luxurious spaces that are just perfect for these everyday Aussie couples. As the excitement builds, the judges – Three Birds Renovations’ Lana, luxury buyer’s agent Simon, and award-winning interior designer Rosie – are gearing up for their inspections. It's all hands on deck to make these homes truly spectacular!
Rhys & Liam's Deception Bay Home
The Scandi-coastal vibe truly shines in the Queensland final reveals! The teams have nailed the theme by selecting plenty of our rattan and natural fixtures, creating spaces that are the epitome of Scandi-coastal perfection. It's simply the best of this stylish, breezy look!
Facade
Hannah and Johnny were in charge of giving this Scandi-coastal dream home its street appeal, and wow, did they deliver! The judges were blown away. “Now this is a Dream Home!” they exclaimed. Judge Lana added, “Bang on brief.”
The Norwest wall sconce in solid brass was a perfect addition, enhancing the elevated coastal look with its seaside charm. Since the brass isn't sealed, it will develop a beautiful patina over time, adding even more to the coastal vibe.
Tradie Bathroom
“Oh la la,” said Rosie. The layout and planning were a delightful surprise for the judges. Coastal vibes flow seamlessly into the bathroom, with the Herman pendant being one of the first things you notice when you walk in. The glam factor is undeniable, thanks to the brass detailing in the metalware and sink, and the MFL strip lighting that creates a beautiful glow throughout. This is the most glamorous tradie washup space we’ve ever seen!
Entryway
Jordan and Jacinta have truly set the stage with this breathtaking entrance hall! The space is expansive, offering endless possibilities for creativity. The arch is a real showstopper, commanding attention and admiration. While the judges weren't completely sold on the styling of the knick-knacks, we can't help but love the Herman pendant making another appearance (continuity, yes!). However, the judges felt it was a bit too small for the grand space, and we have to agree.
Getting the lighting right is crucial, and that’s why we highly recommend Beacon Design Studio if you’re struggling to pinpoint why your lighting isn’t quite hitting the mark. Personally, we think the Herman was a fantastic choice, but to truly match the scale of this stunning hall, we would have opted for a cluster of three pendants to make a bold and beautiful statement.
Nursery
Brad and Mel’s nursery was dubbed “cutie patootie!” by designer Rosie, and the judges couldn’t get enough of the pink paint and playful vibe.
The Herman pendant made another appearance here (we're seriously loving the continuity!), and the Line fan is perfect for keeping little Remi cool and comfy all year round. Great work, team!
Walk-In Robe
Fake rattan! The judges were scandalised by the contact paper rattan on the wardrobe doors, feeling it lacked the authentic texture of the real thing. They were quite disappointed. While we agree that real rattan would have beautifully tied into the coastal theme, we can't help but admire how the Hayes pendant stood out in the space. What a stunning addition (and made from real rattan too)!
Master bedroom
Jordan and Jacinta worked their magic on the master bedroom too, extending the natural coastal theme beautifully. The judges were impressed with nearly everything, though they had some reservations about the headboard's colour palette. But we adore how the neutral tone allows the Tide wall brackets with their charming rattan shades to shine. The minimalist Line fan is a brilliant touch, adding a subtle, clean element that seamlessly ties the whole room together.
Hannah & Johnny's Coorparoo House
The fun and stylish "Palm Springs" makeover at the Coorparoo house ended on a high note, with fabulous updates to the bedrooms and bathrooms! We're loving how the teams have maintained the glam factor by using brass and alabaster lighting.
Exterior
Rhys and Liam, the tradie brothers, truly embraced the Palm Springs vibe in their facade, nailing the brief perfectly. The judges were wowed by the Palm Springs energy - it looks like a feature house straight out of a magazine with those stunning peachy pink double front doors. The guys used our Viba exterior wall lights across the facade to give the home a show stopping glow. Stunning!
Upstairs Bathroom
Another stunning creation from the talented tradie brothers who absolutely nailed the Hollywood glamour vibe! The MFL By Masson Artisan mix and match range shines with style, featuring a gorgeous round alabaster shade that screams glitzy elegance. And let's not forget the downlights, each one finished with a chic brass ring!
Master bedroom and WIR
If you've never thought of a ceiling fan as a standout feature, prepare to be amazed by how the Bali fans in the bedroom elevate the entire space with their wow factor! The Osten wall brackets in alabaster and brass add a touch of super luxe treatment that's simply divine.
Twin Nursery
The judges were absolutely blown away by the luxurious twin nursery! It's a space that's not only fun and practical but also exudes warmth and thoughtfulness. And that Tahitian fan? Another brilliant focal point that was undeniably the perfect choice for this space. Bravo, Taeler and Ellie, well done!
Next week, the journey continues as the teams head to NSW for their last round of home transformations. Stay tuned for more incredible reveals!
