Throughout the past year, my focus has been on materiality. Crafting enduring products using premium materials, designed to be a timeless addition to any space.

The elegance of stone

The Rhodes lamp stands as a testament to the timeless elegance of travertine and the warmth of brass. The lamp's natural fabric shade diffuses light, casting a soft, tranquil glow.

Coastal and Mediterranean harmony

The Catalina lamp seamlessly weaves together natural, coastal, and Mediterranean styles. Its classic shape and hand-applied stucco finish infuse character and depth, with each piece boasting individual marks and variations. 

Sophistication in simplicity

The Jaxon lamp, with its sleek and modern design in timeless bronze, is a striking addition to any living space. The bronze base complements the natural conical shade, exuding warmth and ambience.

We've embarked on a journey to revolutionise the fan experience, bringing you a fresh perspective on smart technology integration and redefining what a fan can offer.

Sleek simplicity for every room

The Condor fan stands as a testament to style and modernity. Its clean, contemporary look adds a touch of sophistication, featuring two blades cleverly designed to create the illusion of a single blade in motion.

Versatility for outdoors

For outdoor spaces that demand both style and functionality, the Monza fan is your answer. Its robust design ensures durability, it guarantees a cool and comfortable atmosphere even on the hottest days.

Contemporary charm and illumination

The Osprey DC Fan combines contemporary design with the convenience of an optional light feature. A perfect addition to any home or office, this fan not only keeps you cool but also adds a touch of sophistication to your space.

We aim to broaden our product range by introducing traditional-style fans which have been notably absent from our offerings. Additionally, we're placing emphasis on fans tailored to meet the needs of our trade customers.

This year has been all about enhancing your lighting experience, from richer colours to customisable effects.

Rich colours

Offering three beam angles and two colour temperatures, these globes allow you to craft custom lighting effects for both interiors and exteriors, delivering a true design experience.

Versatility unleashed

For those moments when uncertainty strikes or a change of mind occurs, the GE multi-watt tri-colour GU10 and A60 globes are your perfect lighting companions. Tailored for versatility, these globes provide a flexible solution for varying brightness needs and colour temperature preferences.

2024 promises even more options for customers and trade professionals. Expect an expanded range of CRI90 options, allowing you to play with light and colour like never before. We're bringing more tri-colour options to the table, ensuring that flexibility remains at the forefront of your lighting projects.

My focus was an exploration of materials that break away from the ordinary. In 2023, we've witnessed a revolutionary expansion in our range, embracing unique and premium materials that redefine the world of flush designs. This shift complements our pendants and lamps, opening up the possibility for elevated aesthetics.

Elevated simplicity

The Elle flush mount is as a versatile lighting solution, blending simplicity with elegance. With a 3-light flush drum shade in white or natural linen fabric, its unique design allows for a customisable mounting approach.

Nature's embrace

The organic aesthetic of the Fjord 1 light flush mount is influenced by Japandi design. Available in stone, black, clay, and white finishes, this pebble-shaped fixture complements the Fjord Pendant range, bringing cohesion and sophistication to your interior.

Elegance in small packages

A gem in the Lucent range. Crafted from alabaster and brass, this 200mm dome is a visual delight.

Continuing along the path of exploring new materials and shapes to elevate the humble flush to a more decorative space. 

This year's collection embodies warmth and materiality, featuring tonal linens, warm bronzes, and earthy clay finishes that provide a strong sense of richness and refinement.

Timeless elegance, Spanish craftsmanship

Crafted in Spain with meticulous care, the Calido Flare Shade collection merges timeless elegance with modern allure. Handmade by artisans with over 50 years of expertise, each shade reflects the calming Mediterranean style that Spanish design is renowned for. 

Mediterranean opulence

Caspian; an embodiment of exquisite Mediterranean-inspired design. Delicate scalloped-shaped shells gracefully supported by three curved arms create a mesmerising play of light and shadow. 

Minimalist elegance, maximum impact

Blending earthen elements, minimalist styling, and contemporary technology, Bridge celebrates materiality like no other. Choose from finishes like white gypsum with crisp ribbing, stone with organic formations, or clay with a velvety, honed finish.

The year ahead will see a number of classicly inspired collections infused with natural and organic elements. Linens and pleats will continue to grow in popularity, and travertine will make its way further into the mainstream. 

This year, our attention turned to practical solutions for bathrooms. We expanded our mirror range to include storage options with built-in ambient lighting. While Jones and Equinox elevated the minimalist aesthetic, offering simple and unobtrusive styling in various key tapware colours.

Keep your bathroom organised and stylish with the Aura mirror, light and shaving cabinet. Featuring built-in ribbon lights, the Aura provides an elegant and impactful lighting effect that envelops the mirror and elevates your bathroom.

Your perfect solution for a sleek and modern bathroom or vanity lighting

Jones is a minimalist masterpiece that provides excellent illumination, making it ideal for placement above a mirror or on either side for that classic Hollywood lighting effect.

The Equinox wall sconce - a sleek and minimalist design that will elevate any bathroom. This backlit sconce features a thin and elegant disc that appears to float off the wall, emitting a soft and warm glow.

We'll introduce new materials and tactile elements while creating a new in-store display experience!

To complement our beautiful lamp collection, we introduced a range of modern, minimalist tables that create the perfect pairing.

A minimalist marvel

Tatum is a masterpiece in black. This addition is not just a table; it's a statement piece. The matte textured finish adds a touch of sophistication, elevating the minimalist aesthetic. 

A collaboration of elegance

Beacon Lighting takes pride in collaborating with a diverse range of local and global suppliers, and the Haus & Co collection is a testament to this commitment. This curated collection features signature sculptures, candles, and furnishings that not only enhance your interior but also complement our stunning lights.

Our homewares collection will continue to evolve with new scents from our wonderful candle partners in Celia Loves and BTNCL. At the same time, White Moose will introduce even more beautiful sculptures that complement our wide range of table lamps and help our customers create the perfect pairings. 

This was the year when wall lights became the must-have accessory for every space. Much like our pendant and lamp collections, wall lights saw materiality come to centre stage with rich metallic tones and textural elements shining through.

Timeless elegance reimagined

Inspired by classic and mid-century designs, as well as the opulence of art deco, the Amore collection pays homage to timeless styles while introducing fresh materials. Textural linen fabrics and meticulous metallic detailing define the wall brackets, making them standout pieces

Subtle sophistication

Don't be deceived by its apparent simplicity - Atlas is a design marvel with hidden nuances that make it a versatile addition to any home. Available in textured black or bronze, the minimalist Atlas range is a testament to subtle sophistication.

We anticipate a new chapter in wall light design. Travertine, alabaster and natural stone finishes will elevate our wall light collection and provide a sense of tactility and earthiness.

Perhaps one of the biggest highlights for me this year was Sanso being awarded both a Gold and Best in Class at the Australian Good Design Awards. This was a huge milestone and an incredibly proud moment for our entire in-house product design team.

Sanso EvOne represents a pinnacle of innovation and design prowess. Conceived and crafted by Beacon Lighting's in-house team, this 3-in-1 marvel seamlessly integrates air purification, ionisation, and adaptable lighting - all within the confines of an elegant ceiling-mounted fixture. This not only sets a new standard in air purifiers but also transforms the concept of multi-functional lighting.

With 3 Good Design Awards under our belt and over 1,000 new products currently in development - no matter what the year ahead brings, we know it'll be filled with unique, imaginative and innovative products!

Our customers love the Tanimi range and the versatility of the material we continue to develop. 

The solid Brass construction of the MBM seaside has been a massive success in our popular aged bronze finish. With overwhelming customer feedback, we have introduced a brass finish with a special protective lacquer that helps retain the lustre for years.    

Drawing inspiration from the vast Australian landscape, the Tanimi range stands as a testament to the marriage of architectural ingenuity and nature-inspired materials. Evoking the rugged beauty of Australia's arid regions, the Tanimi collection, including the captivating LED Bollard in Speckled Black, captures the essence of remote terrains.

The MBM Seaside collection in solid brass is a testament to the designer's dedication to creating a beautiful and functional product. Every detail has been carefully considered, from the anti-corrosion qualities of brass to the style and scale of the product. 

Gecko Glow: a fresh addition. Its frosted lens softly diffuses light, while the illuminated diffuser adds lively bursts of colour, infusing playfulness into your outdoor space.

You heard it here first! The design team is working on a new collection that pushes the boundaries of form, shape, material, and texture. We're excited to announce something inspired by the Australian landscape, set to be released in 2024. Additionally, a captivating range of solid brass products from Europe will hit Australian shores in the same year. Get ready for exciting additions!

The public announcement of the collaboration between Beacon Lighting and Vynco New Zealand came with the introduction of Vynco Metro, Urban, and several specialized mechs. We are eagerly anticipating the unfolding developments of this partnership for our business. The enthusiasm for these products is undeniable, and we are genuinely thrilled about this exciting addition to our offerings.

Vynco Urban range is a marriage of engineering prowess and contemporary design. With clean lines, square edges, and finishes that include brushed chrome and brushed black, the Urban series offers a refined alternative to conventional switches. 

The Vynco Metro series redefines interior aesthetics with its slim, curved satin fascia, meeting the homeowner's demands for both form and function. This range brings a subtle yet sophisticated refresh to your living spaces.

We will be working on the range expansion to continue to excite our customers and the end users who use these switches every day with new finishes that complement our lighting products.   

Custom downlights will be the first of many to get a new performance upgrade with an industry-first driver to include 3 CCT toggles (the ability to change the colour temperature on the product) plus an additional switch that allows the customer to change via the wall switch. 

This is a versatile lighting solution designed to illuminate the interiors of your home. Emitting 700 lumens when set to warm white, this downlight is equipped with an integrated LED for optimal efficiency.

In 2024, anticipate an increase in educational initiatives and product releases that cater to the well-being of individuals within illuminated spaces. The emphasis will be on features such as low glare, flicker-free technology, and colour-changing capabilities, all while prioritising high light quality measured by the Colour Rendering Index (CRI).
