Tools are finally down on the drama-packed Fans vs Faves season of The Block, with all five teams reaping big rewards for all their hard work. However, the shock win of Mitch and Mark took everyone by surprise, with the Sydney couple taking home $744,444.44 (including $100,000 prize money) after their family-friendly home sold for over $4 million. Congratulations Mitch and Mark, your determination to stick to your vision certainly paid off!

As proud lighting suppliers of this season’s reno, we followed the five teams week after week as they used our products to transform five houses into luxurious family homes in picturesque Hampton.

We’ve looked back on 12 weeks of stunning reveals and picked our favourites to share with you.

Week 1 – Mitch & Mark’s Guest Bedroom

Their lighting choice: Seagrass Pendant

The verdict: We just loved the softness and romance of Mitch and Mark’s bedroom and even though it was a small room, the oversized statement pendant was so light and airy it brought a boldness to the styling without crowding the space.

Week 2 – Kirsty & Jesse’s Main Bathroom

The verdict: Small but perfectly formed, this gorgeous room has the look and feel of a luxurious 5-star hotel bathroom, and who doesn’t love that. By matching the gold wall brackets with the brass tapware and towel holders, Kirsty and Jesse brought the whole look together to tell one glamorous story.

Week 3 – Mitch & Mark’s Master Bedroom

The verdict: While Mitch and Mark nailed the styling, what made this room extra special in our eyes was their use of smart technology to future-proof the home. They added Powermesh smart switches to allow the home owners to control their lighting with the switch, their phone or voice commands.

Week 4 – Ronnie & Georgia’s Home Theatre

The verdict: Bring on the popcorn! Ronnie and Georgia used the magic of layered lighting to perfectly recreate the cinema experience at home. Strip lighting and cleverly placed downlights evoke a subtle theatre atmosphere while our Smith Table Lamp provides stylish task lighting near at hand.

  Week 5 – Ronnie & Georgia’s Master Ensuite

Their lighting choice: Parker Cylinder Bracket Brass

The verdict: A bathroom that nails the perfect lighting layout and dials up the luxe factor ticks all our boxes. The pops of brass on our Parker lights above the vanity tied in perfectly with the tapware. Stunning!

Week 6 – Kirsty & Jesse’s Kids' Bedroom

Their lighting choice: Ascot Wall Bracket

Their cooling choice: Viceroy Fan

The verdict: This is what childhood dreams are made of. Kirsty and Jesse delivered one of the sweetest kids’ bedrooms we’ve ever seen on The Block. Our Ascot wall light looked gorgeous in the window seat, providing perfect lighting for reading or playing. The ceiling fan was just the right size for the space and added another layer of Hamptons-inspired design to this fun and functional room.

Week 7 – Kirsty & Jesse’s Kitchen

The verdict: Oozing style and sophistication, Kirsty and Jesse’s kitchen is a perfect example of the power of the pendant to impact a room. The choice of our stunning alabaster Luella pendant was a masterstroke, as its brass detailing picked up on all the brass accents in the cabinetry and tapware, bringing all the different design elements together to tell a complete Hamptons story. We love it!

Week 8 – Mitch & Mark's Living & Dining

Their cooling choice: Tahitian Fan

The verdict: Mitch and Mark proved that you don’t always need a pendant or chandelier as your feature piece. They used a pair of our beautiful palm leaf-style ceiling fans to make a statement in their living area and keep everyone cool and comfy. They also grouped downlights together which greatly influences the atmosphere of the space, allocating some areas with low levels of illumination, and others with strong, concentrated swathes.

Week 9 - Tanya & Vito’s Hallway

The verdict: Who wouldn’t feel inspired walking into a hallway lined with artworks and stunning sculptural lighting? We certainly were and loved how Tanya and Vito played with the different sizes and shapes of our Zinc pendants to design their own unique architectural light piece.

Week 10 – Kirsty & Jesse’s Backyard

Their cooling choice: Tahitian 132cm Fan White,

The verdict: The biggest backyard on The Block was also one of the rooms that really took our breath away. This outdoor space is every family’s dream, and with a fire pit and big Tahitian ceiling fan, it’s an entertaining space to be enjoyed all year round – even in Melbourne’s notorious four-seasons-in-one day climate. Luxe lifestyle on a platter!

Week 11 – Josh & Luke’s Wine Cellar

The verdict: Who needs to go out when you can enjoy your own private club at home? Josh and Luke mixed up the perfect lighting cocktail in this bar/movie room, with wall lights bringing the moody ambience and adjustable downlights making the space functional when entertaining.

Week 12 – Ronnie & Georgia’s Façade

The verdict: Nothing says welcome to the luxe lifestyle quite like this classic Hamptons-inspired exterior. Ronnie and Georgia have created major curb appeal with this striking façade, with perfectly placed garden spots and our stunning wall bracket making a warm, inviting first impression.
