Contemporary country theme baffles House Rules teams
May 4, 2017
The first House Rules reveal got off to a very rocky start, with the interpretation of the design brief leading to a mish-mash of styles and a not-so-impressed home owner.
Spot lighting was a big feature in these zones, with our Action LED Spot and Track lighting highlighting the red recesses in the hallway and the amazing graffiti wall in the bedroom.
The judges thought these spaces were the best example of contemporary country in the home and they loved our Husk Pendants in Matt Black/Ash over the island bench in the kitchen and our LEDlux Bridge wall bracket in Ash wood in the bed
Master Bathroom/Dining room
Our Norwest Wall Lights in Aged Nickel perfectly complemented the striped brick walls in the bathroom, but as Lawrence noted, this room also needed overhead lighting to eliminate shadows on your face. We also loved our Manor Barn pendants over the dining table, which added the hint of metal specified in the brief.
The brief was ‘feminine and sparkly’, and our Pirouette chrome and crystal pendant certainly brought the glamour to the lounge room. Interior design expert Wendy loved our Aksel wall bracket in the ensuite, and the airy design of these lights suited the small space.
omeowner Fiona loved the wow factor of our Madeleine 12 Light Egypt Crystal chandelier in the master bedroom as it perfectly fulfilled her ‘glam with sparkles’ brief.
We absolutely loved this space and our Altitude Eco Outdoor Fan with light was the perfect choice to keep this entertaining oasis bright and breezy through the long hot summers.
